Taso Research is a company launched at the beginning of 2025 that specialises in social research, data and geospatial analytics, and the development of digital services based on them. The founders of the company have extensive and in-depth expertise in population research, data and geospatial analytics, and the development of research-based digital solutions. Taso Research has developed Finland’s digital population twin and utilises it versatilely in the implementation of forecasting and scenario models for demographic and regional development.

We do client work in longer assignments and individual projects. In addition, Taso Research conducts its own continuous research and methodological development. We focus in particular on understanding societal and regional change, the related processes of segregation and polarisation, and issues concerning the promotion of a sustainable transition. The results of our own research are shared through publications and utilised in client assignments and projects.

The company name refers both to quality issues and to our endeavour to bring together different levels of information and examine the links and semantic relationships between them.

We are working on these matters because we want to promote social good. In addition, it brings us the joy of discovery and nourishes our curiosity. By working together with an open mind, new kinds of creative solutions are developed that benefit others and the world.
